Welcome to Bakken Brew Haus Hops Farm, While embarking on the plans for the Micro Bewery, I had an Epiphany! In order to brew the best micro brew possible one must control the flavor, quality and process. The only way to do that was to grow our own hops. This has opened up a world of possibilities for our operation. I have set about the business of buying a 160 acre farm. We will be preparing the first 25 ares in the Fall of 2014 and will plant in Spring of 2015! To your right you can see the basic set up for planting and growing hops. Basic set up with support poles, twine/wire for the hop vines to grow on, nice wide rows allow for inspection of the plants, fertilization and harvesting by hand or machinery. Once harvested the hops are spread out in a drying bay/house. They are then pelleted and stored in a cool environment. Each batch of hops is assigned a code and also tested in our lab. We take pride in growing our hops and brewing our beer to bring you the highest quality micro brewed beer crafted by human hands. Once we are fully operational we will offer tours of the hop farm along with beer tasting and A Bakken Brew Haus gift store! We don't just make beer, we brew GREAT beer!
